JayDee Re-elected for Second Term
Written by Westinor
JayDee faced no competition, despite remarkably-low satisfaction with the Presidential field. Many noted their dissatisfaction was not necessarily a product of dissatisfaction with JayDee’s performance, which stood strong at 72.4%, but rather a preference for competition and the argument that uncontested candidates often fare worse in their terms. A Flash Poll by McEntire’s Arnhelm Alternative saw JayDee failing to gain majority support for re-election and losing to a “generic other candidate”, with suggested candidates including Kazaman, PhDre, and upc. None chose to stand against JayDee, though, with the election coming to a close with 39 or 70.9% of the votes for JayDee and 16 or 29.1% of the votes to re-open elections.
JayDee now faces what will surely be a challenging term ahead, with several wars to manage and a variety of domestic trials. As the first two-term president in five terms, JayDee has shaken up much of his cabinet, choosing to bring in the following roster:
Grand Admiral: Vor
Attorney General: Calvin Coolidge
Gameside: Pichtonia
Outreach: ICH
Culture: Ellenburg
Communications: Westinor
Radio: Chipoli
World Assembly Affairs: Josi
Foreign Affairs: Kazaman
