The Europeian Broadcasting Corporation Needs You

Are you a motivated journalist with the skill to snoop out a big story?

Are you interested in political affairs?

Do you want a platform to make your views known to a huge audience?

Do you want to be a part of Europeia's official broadcaster?

If "yes" is what comes to you mind when you read over these questions, then becoming a reporter for the Europeian Broadcasting Company is the right move for you!

Interested Reporters & Loyal Readers,

The EBC has, in recent terms, has not always been the main project for the Minister of Culture and because of that quality has suffered. As the Mandatory Service Act has come into play, there will be a greater focus on the articles the EBC produces and although there are 'service points' given out - quality will always be above quantity. The role of the EBC is to be the Governments mouthpiece - to speak for the Government, on behalf of the Government and provide the news from the Government as well as the wider NationStates world. There will be less focus on general opinion pieces but, instead, opinionated reviews of Government policy by approved reporters.

Now I am requesting that only approved reporters and invited guests may post articles here so, if you are interested in contributing to the EBC, sign up below!

Finally, let the good times of the EBC return!

Thank You,

Vinage

Minister of Media
WA Delegate of Europeia

I would like to continue to write "A Taste of Skizz" occasionally, as I have in the past (i.e., intermittently, with a wide range of topics).

I've always, personally, enjoyed the 'Taste of Skizz' so look forward to seeing your articles over this term. Esp' from the spin of being President.

Due to spotty activity, I'll have to decline a full Reporter application from yourself for the time being. I apologise for this.

However the other reporters will, likely, require aides [as well as myself] so if you are interested in a research position send me a PM and we'll talk!

I'll be sending you a PM now and discuss your position.

You seem to have skipped *Apollo.

My paper is mostly just around election time so I won't have any conflict between the EBC and my paper.

Check the time of the PM I sent you regarding your application and the time of the mass-hiring thread :p

Anyway...

Hired as a Jnr Reporter - we'll be in touch via PM I am sure about what you'll be covering

I would like to write a Daily, or Three Times weekly, column called The Bulletin, summarizing all aspects of activity to help people keep in touch with Government affairs. My column would also include other aspects, such as whatever I find interesting.

You know my name, I'll be available enough to write this article at said frequency, given that there is some interest in it, and my experience includes work in the Inquirer for longer than I can remember, as well as occasional service in the EBC and as a Junior Minister of Culture. I also used to write similar sorts of Cabinet communication summaries as Chief of Staff.

Swakie.... your hired to the position of Snr Reporter and will be eagerly looking forward to your column! Was there ever going to be a different response :p

Journalistic Interests: (articles, interviews, columns, etc.) All of the above.
Journalistic Experience: I know everything.
Availability: I'm not going to commit to making this a regular gig but I can contribute form time to time. Maybe a more formal reality check column of some sort.

Do I need to reapply?

I still consider myself an intermittent EBC contributor, as I have been for more than a year. I expect I'll contribute somewhat more regularly now that I'm outside government -- it's hard to write opinion pieces when you're a senior member of the executive branch, because people invariably construe your words as an official pronouncement of the government's position.

No; you're in. I'm starting from scratch.
