There's no grand farewell, but based on this post and others, I think it's safe to say the Graz has resigned his Senate seat, concurrently with his confirmation to the High Court.

I have clarified the terms of the resignation, and gave no grand farewell because I thought it would be odd coming from a person newly re-elected leaving halfway through his first term
