The President Resigns

Today around 9:00 PM EST, Pez201 resigned as President. After talking with HEM via Personal Message, Pez201 decided that it would be best to resign rather then let the region stagger for a week with two leaders, neither able to do much. Pez is expected to be sent off with much well wishing, and HEM has already pushed Pez201 to run for Chief Justice again.
Elections are going to be opened within 24 hours. However details from the office of the Chancellor have not surfaced beyond that.
This is the first time a Head of Government has resigned since Hyanygo resigned as Chief of State over a year ago.
