The EBC TEN

Ladies and gentleman,

This is The EBC TEN. The EBC TEN is a list of the 10 most influential people in Europeia. Each month, The EBC TEN will be published, citing the most influential citizens of the past month. The list will bear citizens who have shown incredible leadership, and dedication to the region. Those who have the most clout in Europeia will be displayed on the list as well.

This will be a great way to honor the work that our citizens are doing.

And without further ado, here is the official first EBC TEN.

1: Swakistek

A true visionary. Swakistek tops the list not only because he is the most powerful government official, but because he has an enormous public presence all around Europeia. His opinion is always respected, and his service to Eurpoeia is unwavering.

2 & 3:Tie HEM & Lethen

HEM and Lethen are highly visible, and highly influential throughout the region. No government policy really seems to stick without their personal stamp of approval. The power of the two Supreme Chancellor's is very hard to question.

4: Skizzy Grey

Skizzy Grey is one of the most respected members of Europeia. With a good head on his shoulders, he lends his opinion to many topics, which is always welcomed by many.

5: Common-Sense Politics

CSP has a track record in Europeia that can only be described as impressive. His extensive experience gives his opinions serious merit.

6: Seven Deaths

Seven Deaths is a very hard worker. He is constantly looking to make improvements, and his voice is an important one in the government. There is no mistake that SD is a rising star in Europeia.

7: Drecq

Although he is facing some pretty steep up-hill battles as Minister of the Interior, Drecq has made his mark on Europeia. He is active in discussions, and he is well respected by his collegues.

8: Vinage

A President who only recently relinquished his power, Vinage has managed to stay very relevant in Europeia. Being a policy buff, Vinage's thoughts and opinions are always well received, and his service to the region continues as he is a Deputy Minister now (not to mention WA Delegate). There is no doubt Vinage is a heavy-hitter.

9. Apollo

Although Apollo retired, he is on this list because he has dedicated a lot of time and effort to Europeia, and he still holds a lot of weight in the region.

10. Drexlore Greyjoy

As the Chairman of the Citizens' Assembly and Minister of Culture, Drexlore is a rising star here in Europeia. His dedication to the work he does is impressive, and I am sure this isn't the last time we will be seeing him on this list.

I hope all of you enjoyed the first EBC TEN. Check back in a month for a new edition!

Sincerely,

It's a hard list to compile to start with, nevermind not having access to all our protected forums. Input's great but can we not give Remsol credit for at least publishing an intriguing feature? Good job, Remsol, even if I don't agree with your assessment. I woud suggest consulting some sources before your next list to ensure you have a solid grasp on who's doing what and where.

While I appreciate even one person (especially someone as oppsite with me as Noto) thinking I merit the list, I don't think I'm there yet.

If my term as MoFA ends as (overall) well as its been going, then maybe I'll have something, but not yet.

As much as HEM and I bluster and bitch, we blunder more often than not. In the old days? We had a lot more sway. Nowadays? We can have small victories, but most personal initiatives fail and most complaints go unheard. We still have influence, but nowhere near what we used to have. And that's a good thing.

My list:

1. Lethen. When he talks, people listen.
2. CSP. Quietly having a hugely transformative impact on legislative, military, and diplomatic policy.
3. Swak. The current occupant of Goldenblock always has a big megaphone, but his legislative and judicial achievements alone would merit a spot on this list.
4. Vinage. It's hard to remember what this region was like before his two terms as President, let alone what he's done as WA Delegate.
5. NES. Even leaders who don't share his vision know that his advice is indispensable.
6. HEM. Remains an important voice despite limited activity.
7. Seven Deaths. A notch above his contemporaries on the influence scale.
8. me. Transitioning to an elder statesman role.
9. Elias. Offers a unique perspective on foreign and military affairs; might be the most influential person on this list outside Europeia.
10. Hyanygo. His legislative and judicial influence are so far -reaching that they're often taken for granted.

Interesting. Thanks for your post Skizzy!

Remember when we used to basically run the region? :ph43r:

Oh yes, yes I do. I miss it sometimes.

5. NES. Even leaders who don't share his vision know that his advice is indispensable.
Are you sure on this one skizzy? I think NES is no where near active enough to earn this and stays quite on pretty much anything that doesn't have to do with R/D. Plus I would disagree that his advice is indispensable or that there are a large number of people who feel it to be. If he doesn't bring up his points there are several other people who share the same viewpoint as him, which doesn't rule him out for being influential, but he's pretty inactive to make a list of influential people( and for sure shouldn't be number 5).

I would also question HY being on there as perhaps a bit outdated. Although I could see reason that he would maintain a position in the bottom of the top 10 even now.

NES posts almost daily.

Unless he's posting in some hidden forum; I highly doubt that.
Leth is right, but as you say, it's mostly in the EAAC and in the Situation Room, I think.
Not really sure how someone can be influential when all their posts are hidden away where no one can see them, then again that's NES's style he doesn't like putting his opinions out in the open very often.
