President Trinnien Optimistic in Address
By Marnip

President Trinnien recently gave his State of the Region address to the citizens of Europeia. The full speech can be found at the following link: http://mixlr.com/ebc-radio/showreel/state-of-the-republic-mar-2016/ Below is a slight recap of what Trinnien discussed.

Recap of the Address said:
In his recent Presidential address, Trinnien Augustan remained extremely optimistic about the future of Europeia.

Ministry of Interior
Trinnien began by discussing the chance to overtake 10,000 Islands in number of nations, making Europeia the 12th largest region in NationStates, and the largest non-puppet UCR. This particular issue seemed extremely important to the President, as he continually encouraged each individual to join the Interior and help the region rise to the occasion. He discussed other jobs the Interior has conducted including the CSO Project and Newcomer's Handbook that will provide newer members with the tools necessary to excel in Europeia.

Ministry of Culture
The President then discussed his two "favorite" ministries in Europeia, Culture and Foreign Affairs. He applauded Minister Ferdy on his activity and ability to implement new projects. Trinnien acknowledged the success of the 9th anniversary celebration, which featured amazing games and speeches. He discussed future events in the Ministry of Culture, including the Women of NationStates discussion.

Minister without Portfolio
Trinnien then discussed a hotly debated Minister, the Minister without Portfolio. He stands by his decision to reincorporate this position and believes that this has allowed Mousebumples to help the region immensely. An issue involving a newer members was discussed and ways of avoiding future problems would be an issue the President wants to look at.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was applauded for it's job on the various seminars and excellent incorporation of the new deputy system. Trinnien specifically applauded Kuramia and Brunhilde on the job they have done as the new Deputy Ministers. Trinnien discussed the Predator script that has been used in recruiting of nations in NationStates. He feels that NS moderators should decide the outcomes of such actions and made the decision to suspend all actions alongside those who used Predator. The treaty repeals with Mazeria and The New Inquisition were discussed. Trinnien mentions that Mazeria was not surprising, but that it was disheartening to end relations with TNI because it has been a close ally for years. The weak forum-side military was mentioned as one reason for it's repeal.

Ministry of Communication
He discussed the Ministry of Communications and the need to utilize Mixlr. He discussed future events including the EBC Talks, Women of NationStates, and Drecq's Ovation.

Europeian Republic Navy
The ERN's recent activities were discussed including Writinglegend's superb leadership that has led to 12 operations in the region.

Senatia
Trinnien discussed the Senate and the difficulties faced in the coming months for this term's Senators. The President is hoping that the Senate will be able to rebound after a lackluster last term.

Vice President
Finally, Trinnien discussed his choices for Vice-President and how he is ultimately happy with his choice of Calvin Coolidge, who has upped their activity over the past several weeks.

Concluding Thoughts
In his conclusion, Trinnien told the region that "As long as first priority is the region and not yourself, you are good to go with me."
The address overall contained a sense of optimism needed in the region. While President Trinnien did discuss past events that have been pressing the region, Trinnien used these past events as examples of what can be improved in the future and what the region can do as a whole to ensure success. It seemed as though the tone of the speech was calm and collected, showing an understanding of the problems facing Europeia and the solutions to solve them. Overall, the speech should serve as a stepping stone, allowing Europeia to flourish and remain one of NationStates greatest regions.

I think optimistic is a fair assessment of the current state of the region. Good activity all around, some tough decisions made, but we're all on board going forward.

Immer weiter, Europeia, immer weiter.

I'll have to check that out and see what he all said about me. ^_^

... And everyone else. I'll agree with DH that this term seems to be going very well - and it's hard to believe it's almost over!
