Presidential Preference



Incumbent President Rach takes the lead with an overwhelming 85% of voters believing she would be a good President for another term. Coming in at second place is her current Vice President, Darcness, with 55% and rounding out the top three with 50% is Sopo, veteran member and recent Minister of Radio under the Writinglegend Administration. The 3 names with the least support are Le Libertie with 5%, Deepest House with 5%, and Rand with 0% support out of any respondents. 10% of respondents also chose to write in Malashaan, who is currently running for Vice President on President Rach’s re-election ticket.
Really depends on who runs and the platforms
Rach is a superstar.
9 times out of 10, Rach. That tenth time out of ten would be because a spectacular candidate stood, Rach's vision was just too flat, or Rach committed some sort of unforgivable sin/there was a major scandal.
Support for the incumbent President is strong with 60% of respondents supportive of Rach at the opening of the gates. Only 15% of respondents would prefer to vote for somebody else and 25% consider themselves undecided. One supporter of Rach lauds her as a "superstar" and another states that they would only vote against her in an election if a "spectacular candidate" stood, Rach's vision lacked, or Rach commits some "unforgivable sin". Another voter (presumably undecided) states that their vote will hinge on who runs and what the platforms look like.

I focus on platforms
It is dependent on The candidate having a sound strategy for reinvigorating Europeia.
The undecided voters and opponents of the incumbent President are divided in who they would rather see run in the election. Of the 3 respondents who named specific people, 2 are supportive of a campaign by the incumbent Vice President, Darcness, while 1 is a proponent of a campaign by the current Minister of Foreign Affairs, Izzy. Others state their support for nobody in particular, "anybody who is qualified", or simply "a firebrand". One respondent declares that their focus will be on the platforms this election season and another states that their support is dependent on a candidate having a "sound strategy for reinvigorating Europeia", suggesting that they are disappointed with the current state of affairs.

A good vp pick depends on the president
Malashaan
Sopo leads the pack with 70% of respondents believing he would make a good Vice President. Tied for second place is the incumbent President, Rach, and the incumbent Vice President, Darcness. Most other names received support from 45-60% of the respondents, but some names did poorer such as Rand (20% support) and Oakrugia (15% support). President Rach’s running mate, Senator Malashaan, was not included as an option for the poll but was written in by 10% of respondents.

The region was really shaken by the events that kicked off the presidency, but we have truly come together as a region. The overall feeling is extremely positive. I hope above all else that we maintain that, and I hope that the election is clean, with no mudslinging.
Nothing major jumps to mind, actually. Odd.
How active they will be
Domestic areas of Europeia, such as integration and MoC.
Continuing Excellence
Notable and recurring issues important to respondents are the Interior department, foreign affairs, integration efforts and activity. One voter believes that communication and transparency are issues that could be improved on in the coming term and another hopes for more unity and positivity as a region as well as a clean election.

Some recurring traits that respondents would like to see in a President are activity, leadership, honesty, and vision. One respondent desires a president who isn’t a “predator", referring to the recent scandal with now banned and disgraced former President Brunhilde. It is still fresh in the minds of voters and that may make honesty and transparency important issues in future elections.

I used the names that people submitted in the poll directly before this one. I asked people who they believed should run for President and I used those names. You can find the results to that poll (it has the executive approvals in it too) in the EBC forum.
