This is nice - good to see new and innovative approaches to coverage in the EBC.

Well done, Marnip. Good insights from Trinnien.

Good interview. It gave me insight into the current administration, filling gaps I had from missing the election discussions. I would like to ask the president a follow-up question, if possible:

What, apart from the fact that it was a campaign promise, makes the success of the interregional newspaper the mark of success in your term? Do you also mean that, if it doesn't work, it would be a mark of failure?

For me, the International Paper isn't even so much about the level of outreach but {though I think that is a very important aspect} but proving that we can present a higher level of discourse, a higher quality product as it were. The team I have working on it does some have articles currently in progress, so there is work being completed which I am very happy about. But, I'll fully admit I'm trying to make sure expectations are tempered. There are things that I considered absolute musts to focus on this term (like Culture) vs. the desire of an International Paper, which is more a very nice thing to have but not really a requirement for a successful Europeia.

I would consider it a failure if we were to produce content but it was extremely amateurish in quality and content.

Just to be clear, do you mean that your term would therefore be a failure, or that just the paper would therefore be a failure?

It might be both. It would harm the prospects of an international paper, but it would also hurt relations. We couldn't produce such content could affect people's views of us in relation to the international community.
