Domestic Executive End-of-Term Poll Results
Written by Peeps based on Poll by Forilian
Overall Satisfaction:
With the term of First Minister Istillian coming to a close, we can now look back on what has largely been a successful term. Each of the Ministries have embarked on exciting projects such as the recently completed Recruiting Contest, the ongoing EuroPride Festival, a boom in the number of Radio Shows, and multiple articles on the Executive Modernization efforts by Hezekon, Istillian, and Deepest House. This poll received 26 responses, down 4 from the last poll conducted by the EBC at the Mid-Term.
First, we looked at how satisfied Europeians are with the current Domestic Executive.
Some sections went really quiet.
It's done well. Things are starting to slow down, but that always happens at the end of a term.
Good enough overall, not amazing

The Domestic Executive enjoys an amazing approval rate of 92 percent, with no respondents unsatisfied with its performance. The comments indicate that there might not be enough going on in some areas to warrant a strong approval, but clearly Europeia is satisfied with how the term has gone.
Approval of the First and Second Ministers:
Istillian has kept the boat pretty steady this term, the weekly updates are a good way to release what's been happening domestically. Seems to be in close contact with his Minister team as well regarding goals and plans he has. Hezekon seems to be a pretty average Second Minister, has had some RL things taking up time for him lately, but can't blame him for that.
who? where?
Istilian is a strong First Minister. Hez has a pulse...
I don't feel that the FM has taken criticisms of Integration and Culture seriously. I also found the removal of that Nazi's citizenship to be sloppy and probably illegal (though no one would disagree he should be gone). I don't think we took advantage of the Drew Boom (aside from recruiting, which did great) per GraV's analysis, and without that influx of new citizens, this would have been a very average term.
Second Minister Hez I hardly see anywhere. Doing fine in his own Ministry, but never anywhere else.

Approval of Ministers and Ministries:
Been a good term, McEntire has fallen out of activity recently however
Recruiting Contest was a huge success!!
What happened? There was a lot of excitement with the competitions and then it died?
Great tournament!
McEntire has done a good job handling the Drew Boom and his new recruitment contest has led to a pretty big increase in telegram numbers as well. Would have been nice to maybe see some more involvement in telegram data in terms of the rest of the Ministry, but he has had a very solid term.
Really reestablished himself this term.
Overall, the recruitment efforts are very good, but dropped McEntire the ball on integration. Haven't seen much from him recently.
McEntire has been a very good MoI keeping recruitment going. Staff have also been excellent regarding recruitment.
I am unsatisfied because, though recruiting has been great, there has been literally no effort on the integration side of things. One deputy appointment with no plan and no results.
Needs to do more integration. GraV's article showed how damaging the lack of integration has been this term.

Overall things are going well, only gripe would be a slight lack of innovation
While OD had a weak start to the term, he is correcting, which is good.
OD said he'd be more active and engaged with his ministry and people inside it, but I didn't see it.
Culture has been going steady with Weekend Games and the occasional festival, but not much beyond that. It's pretty stagnant. OD has tried to do better in terms of working with his staff and communicating, but there's still more to be desired.
It's a notable downtick from last term. Several gaffes from Od and not as much communication.
Everything appears to be running smoothly. OD also appears to be giving it 100%.
still seems to be kind of a cluster

Coming off of a disappointing result in the Mid-Term poll, Minister of Culture Olde Delaware saw a slight uptick in their approval rating, moving from 50 percent to 53 percent. Interestingly the ministry as a whole seems to be approved of heavily, with 73 percent of respondents satisfied with the performance of the ministry. This disparity can perhaps be explained by a couple of negative comments received that reference perceived gaffs and lack of engagement by the minister; however, other comments commend the minister for the improvement since the Mid-Term. A lack of innovation is also mentioned in multiple comments. So far, EuroPride, the current project of the ministry, seems to be progressing well.
While Hezekon has been absent a bit, Siph/Astrellan has been filling in just fine
I'm not seeing much from Hez. I do see articles come out, but not as many new ideas.
Lots of new talent in the region. Hez is sometimes hard to reach, but he's delegated out tasks and tried to keep things steady in his absence.
Hezekon didn’t seem to write a lot of articles this term.
Good work overall. I'd love to see more Op-Eds.
Comms isn't producing as much content as it should be or is capable of. Hez has also been inactive as Minister. His last article was published a month ago and it's the only one he's written this entire term. He also hasn't been leading the Ministry or delegating tasks to JM. This was all happening before he reduced his Euro time to dedicate more time to the BLM movement which must take priority.
boring boring same. please spice up content.

Interestingly, Hezekon receives the same approval rating in his position as minister of communications as they do for second minister, 50 percent. Continuing the trend of ministries being more popular than their minister, the overall Ministry of Communications receives an approval rating of 73 percent. Most of the comments about this ministry reference Hezekon not being active or involved enough, which can explain the disparity in this case. A couple of others would like the ministry to create new types of content in one form or another.
Bowzin could do better: bills could be worked on earlier, especially longer ones.
Not much out of MoJ, but that's expected. Don't think Bowzin is doing too much outside of the bare minimum.
It's hard to judge the Ministry from the outside, but Bowzin seems to be doing well.
Have not followed it.
if the AG was responsible for the advice Ist received to remove someone's citizenship extrajudicially, he should be fired,

Now we have the attorney general and the Ministry of Justice, the minister and ministry with the most unsure responses. 42 percent of respondents were unsure about the performance of Bowzin, and 50 percent were unsure about the performance of the ministry. Overall the approval ratings were nothing to write home about either, with 35 percent approving of Bowzin and 38 percent of the ministry. The number of unsure respondents can be explained by the large number of comments that reference how the ministry is never visible, and that not much is expected of it. One respondent criticized the handling of the citizenship debacle referenced earlier in the article and another made a reference to the Legislative Assessment of the Judicature Act (2020), which was not completed in a timely manner.
Keep the shows coming!
Radio has been great! So many new shows!
Many number of great shows! Anyone can present an idea and always makes sure a host is available!
Great show variety this term
Calvin's done a great job with radio this term. I think it might've slowly ramped down near the end of the term, but he's had an excellent term and is a great minister.
Calvin Coolidge did a great job. A lot of good shows.
Radio is doing great this term! Calvin has everything under control, while at the same time giving everyone the liberty they need. Seems to work well!
There may not be as many shows as at the start of the term but things are still amazingly active with a strong variety of both guests and shows. This has been one of the best Radio terms we've ever had.
some of the content has been kind of boring but there has been so much and they can't all be winners. god work.

Finally we have the Ministry of Radio. This minister/ministry combo has proven to be incredibly popular, with both receiving an approval rating of 92 percent. Not even the most approved of minister could buck the trend of being less popular than the ministry that they run, with a higher share of respondents strongly approving of the ministry then of the minister. Overall the comments were quite positive, with a lot of them approving of the number and variety of shows presented this term, although one comment said that things have tapered down near the end-of-term.
Election:
Although Istillian has announced that they will not be running for reelection, the majority of the respondents would have supported their bid for a second time, although they were much less decisive when it came to the Second minister. 27 percent of respondents would support Hezekon in a new bid for Second minister, 30 percent would not support, and 42 percent are undecided when it comes to the issue.
We also asked who our respondents would like to see run for first and second minister,
Peeps, Kuramia, Dax, Calvin, Maowi
A newer player, generally.

This term seems to be largely a success for the Domestic Executive, although a few ministers could have had higher ratings in an overwhelmingly popular government. Looking into the future, the next term seems to be poised for a breakout team of newcomers to become the leaders of Europeia's domestic government.
