Olde Delaware Elected CA Chair at Watershed Moment for the Assembly
As Cool Spring resigned from the CA (Citizens' Assembly) chair position, a new election had been called. Olde Delaware and Izzy both declared candidacy; however, Izzy pulled out, marking a fourth uncontested election in a row. Olde Delaware's Platform speaks heavily of wishing to lead the new City Council which is currently being discussed by the Senate. With polls having closed on Thursday, Olde Delaware has officially been elected by 22-5 over re-opening the election. Olde Delaware's tenure may lead us through the most momentous period for the CA since its creation in 2012 as we move back into a City Council model.

First Minister Standing Opens
As one election closes, another must open; on Thursday (August 29) the standing to become the next first minister has officially opened, with polls opening on the following Friday (September 6). Drecq's Motivating Address reminds us all to "Run for First Minister," whilst reflecting on how we as Europeians must give back to our region.

Inventive Recruitment Policy: Uncharted Success
The mock 2020 primary, created around recruitment, is an uncharted success. The total for week 1 of the project, intended to promote teamwork and competition, is at 2485 with indications that second week tallies have already broken that figure. The scheme, designed to help "[beat] the summer slump" appears to be engaging recruiters with increasingly positive results.

Fighting Fascism Overseas
Grand Admiral HEM announced that the ERN (Europeian Republican Navy) successfully raided rampantly fascist region The Iron Confederacy, presenting ourselves globally by our inherent, anti-fascist values, leading the charge. This joint raid marks a key victory in toppling Fascism in NationStates and expanding our sphere of influence.

Mid-term Polling Displays High Popularity of the Current Executive
28 total responses showed an 82 percent satisfaction of the Executive overall, First Minister Pichtonia receiving 93 percent satisfaction (one of the highest ever) with almost every ministry and minister receiving a majority satisfaction rating. When asked for suggestions for the future first minister, the plurality (9 people) suggested Pichtonia should be re-elected. This outstanding mid-term performance shows our faith in the current executive.

The Goldenblock Series
The Goldenblock Series kicks off by delving into the murkier waters of early Europeia. This transcript, provided by Prim, is a conversation/history lesson between veteran Europeians HEM and Sopo, with HEM detailing the erratic beginnings of this now illustrious region. This article strikes a chord, presenting to us just how great the disparity of early Europeia is to the Europeia of today in a heartfelt, sombre tone and how close Europeia was, on this and several other occasions, to descending into chaos.
