Analysis and News Roundup
You can view all promises in this spreadsheet. Unless otherwise noted in the spreadsheet, all promises have been compiled from Monkey and McEntire's platform, which can be found here.
This is a fairly good start for the McEntire/Monkey administration. Noted implementation has already occurred on nearly one-fourth (22.2%) of promises, and a further 11.1% are confirmed to be in some form of planning or preparation, bringing the administration to one-third of all promises showing signs of progress. Let's talk about some of the most notable ratings.
With the announcement of the Metric vs. Imperial contest (which you should definitely go sign up for if you haven't had a chance already as the contest started Saturday), we rated "Host a contest to encourage consistency" as a B for the time being. Given the success in the past of recruitment contests, the rating of the efficacy of a consistency contest will start high, though it could be revised up or down after the contest after the results are made public.
The Daily Dose Hall of Fame takes the stage for the next two rating changes. "Roll out Recruiter of the Week and awards to reward consistency" was rated as a D, though we are fully expecting that this will likely change in the coming weeks and should actually be seen as a sign of progress rather than a detriment. The Daily Dose hall of fame does provide some recognition for consistency, though it is presently the only recognition that has been handed down this term, and there is no record of Recruiter of the Week being named this past week. In the same vein, "Seek to complement the ERI by recognizing consistent recruiters while the ERI focuses on the top recruiters by quantity" was rated as a C. The Daily Dose Hall of Fame will begin to recognize consistent recruiters by creating a leaderboard of them, though we believe that more could be done to recognize consistent recruiters as the ERI does quantitative recruiters. For example, the ERI just restored the recruitment stars and even created a new one (with the help of Le Libertie) for Calvin Coolidge for becoming the top recruiter of all time. While the Daily Dose Hall of Fame does provide some much sought after recognition for consistent recruiters, we believe that there is more to be done, especially when the campaign compared this effort to that of the ERI.
A recent Radio interview with SEC (not yet on the showreel) confirmed that some more projects were underway in Interior, resulting in "Revise Discord Buddies Program to remove the 1 on 1 aspect" and "Overhaul the Newcomer's Handbook" being rated as IN THE WORKS.
Onwards to Radio, Darkslayer's opening address gave us his three Deputies for the three major time zones that Europeia covers (America, Europe, and Oceania). Shows have spanned across the three timezones to try to provide maximum live listening capability, though scheduling is still a tad sporadic, so "Attempt to schedule shows while keeping time zone considerations in mind" has been rated as a B for now, but we can easily see this being upgraded as the term progresses.
Also in Radio, we noticed that a content survey was released at the beginning of the term. Given that the results of this poll were never released (or were intended to stay internal), we're unsure as to how the survey guided Radio's show planning, but we know it was a factor. As such, "Launch a discussion into what shows are popular and how future shows can be planned to increase listenership" was rated as IN THE WORKS.
In Comms, two dispatches have been released this term up to now, both related to elections. The extent of foreign engagement that has resulted from this is unclear, so as of now, "Use dispatches to connect and engage with foreign regions" has been rated as a C until the extent of the outreach from these dispatches is determined.
Finally, the launch of FM Radio provided an A rating for "Regularly communicating goals and talking directly to the Europeian people". Engagement was quite high for the show and forum recap from McEntire and has provided insight into the progress of this administration in some areas.
Aside from this, no other information has been made public regarding any other promises. With that, let's close this update with a few notes:
First, we are still in the process of compiling Chief of State promises to add into this update. We hope to include it in the next update that we release, which will be no later than next week.
Second, Ministers/Councillors, we want to hear from you! If you want to talk about the work being done in your Ministry or Council in relation to the work we're doing here, we'd love to talk to you and include your thoughts and comments in our updates.
Third, it is likely that tomorrow will feature quite a few updates from the Ministries and Councils and as such this update could become obsolete. However, we did want to push out this initial update to you so you can know what to expect from our updates in terms of content and get a first look at what's to come for the rest of the term as we prepare to merge back into the Presidential system.
That's all for this update folks, and if you've read this whole thing, thank you. We hope that these updates will become a valuable resource for you in keeping up with the progress of our Executive branch throughout its various Ministries and Councils.
