With only a handful of hours remaining before the opening of nominations for office, ENN has complied a list of potential candidates for the highest offices in the land: The Presidency and Vice President. Look at the names, read the analysis, and you decide!

President Common-Sense Politics

Probability of Running for President: Longshot
Probability of Running for Vice President: Possible

In a region that has never failed to elect an incumbent President who stood before the voters, Common-Sense Politics would appear to have history at his back. However, his availability and concentration have become huge issues from the voters minds as Vice President JGlenn assumed the reigns of state formally on two occasions. CSP is not seen as active enough to fulfill the role of chief executive, and the President will probably realize that and step away from the spotlight.

On the other hand, CSP is still seen as a qualified veteran politician. Due to this, it is significantly more likely he finds himself on the bottom of someone's ticket.

Vice President JGlenn

Probability of Running for President: Iffy
Probability of Running for Vice President: Possible

JGlenn has been seen as a competent, but busy politician. With a hectic schedule it has been tough for the VP to really carve out an area of the agenda where he could shine. However, his temporary administration of government has shown him to be decisive when need be, and he may be a Presidential contender.

It is slightly more likely he contents himself with being VP and tries to hop on another ticket.

Minister Crist Seymour

Probability of Running for President: Possible
Probability of Running for Vice President: Possible

A likable Minister who oversaw a massive population boom (even before the new system), Crist has forged out a name for himself in politics. However, he is seen by some as too coveting of the Goldenblock, and this may hurt him with older more established members.

Likewise, Seymour has been a strong asset to the Cabinet this term. Assisting a President could be appealing to veteran and newbie candidates alike.

Minister North East Somerset

Probability of Running for President: Likely
Probability of Running for Vice President: Possible

A grizzled NS veteran who has earned his stripes this term by handling various foreign affairs crises, it seems probable that NES may try to move up to the big chair. Credited for holding much of the CSP administration together during the President's long absences, NES has made a strong name for himself. NES does have some old enemies, just as he has those who scold him for not handling basic managerial tasks such as the Foreign Update.

NES would also be a heavy name to return as Vice President, should a newer member want to rapidly add some weight to the ticket.

Former President Anumia

Probability of Running for President: Darkhorse
Probability of Running for Vice President: Iffy

A true wild card, Anumia has been steadily returning to active Europeian live since fall. A former President in his own right, whispers have begun to build about a second Anumian administration. He has a strong name and strong deeds to back it up, but not as much interaction with a newer generation.

Minister Rachel Anumia

Probability of Running for President: Possible
Probability of Running for Vice President: Possible

A President of two terms, Rachel Anumia has a strong base of support in Europeia. However, she also has baggage from those two terms that could deter another run so soon. She has a consistent rate of recruitment and work for Europeia, and could be good addition to any ticket.

Former President and Media Mongrel PhDre

Probability of Running for President: Darkhorse
Probability of Running for Vice President: Longshot

Recently had another return to active life in Europeia. With an eagerness to contribute and voice off ideas, could PhDre be looking at a return to public life? With a Senate resignation not far behind him, and a history of fading in and out, this seems unlikely.

Speaker Swakistek

Probability of Running for President: Iffy
Probability of Running for Vice President: Possible

Hot off the races from mass law reform in the Senate, Swakistek has been lauded for his work and effort. Others grumble on the outside about the extent and speed of the process, but do they have the clout to stop an ambitious Swak? Widely regarded as a veteran these days, Swak has been bested in several presidential elections before. Could now be the time to claim the throne of thorns?

About Ranking

Ranking was based off of public exposure this term, discussions in the background about the possibility, and just general hunches. Liklihood ranged from Likely - Darkhorse.

Good article, though I'm biting my tongue on the analyses.

You never ask!

:ph43r: What are you guys talking about?

That was weird. Right after your question, with no smooth segue or non-sequiter, a horse whinnied.

So, are you running or not?
