In regards to the upcoming presidential election, the Arnhelm Alternative will collaborate with the EBC to provide summaries of the candidates’s platforms. In this article we will cover the “Building Bridges” platform, which sees Kazaman as a presidential candidate with the VP candidate being Comfed. Note that this is not a comprehensive summary of the platform, as such it might miss some points made in it. For this reason we encourage you to read the Kazaman platform here.

Presentation
  • Kazaman last ran for president two years ago and he notes the substantial changes that have happened since then like the frontier transition and the joining of the Aegis accords.
  • He will run with Comfed, organizing the central policies in three themes.
The three central policies themes
  • Growing the WA population and increasing the Delegate endorsement count.
  • Building a bridge between Europeians and their interests, to engage in the life of the region.
  • Consolidating and expanding Europeia’s diplomatic position.
Growing our WA population
  • Europeia’s base population has been healthy in the last few terms thanks to frontier spawns and recruiting efforts, however the focus should be on increasing the WA population, as this will improve security and activity.
  • Technology development has been good in the RSC, but stuck in the Outreach ministry. To strengthen the ministry’s resources, it will have power over the Tech commission, and this term will have more specific projects based on Outreach.
  • The manual work made by the Outreach team will be increased.
  • The goal is to exceed r3n’s systems by compensating with human and technical resources.
Engaging in the life of the region
  • Keeping new nations around will be one of the main focuses.
  • The WA has been the constant driver of long term residency, so a system which rewards citizens by voting in the WA will be reinstated with the addition of RMB discussions.
  • The WAA ministry needs to keep a tight schedule and post IFV in advance to ensure the working of the additions.
  • There will be a reduction in the number of dispatches and guides to newcomers due to the confusion generated by them and the long work they need to stay updated.
  • The President will encourage Cabinet members to engage in one-on-one discussions with staffers
  • Every ministry should have a role in granting the experience given to our citizens and residents.
Consolidating our position
  • Consolidating Europeia’s position will need active efforts.
  • The government’s task will be consolidating the gains from the previous accords we signed.
  • The government will aim to reach some frontiers that Europeia hasn’t reached out to yet, aiming to open new embassies and open dialogues.
  • The ERN, which is one of the best Europeian assets, will be expanding spotting operations and one of the goals will be contributing to the Organization of major liberations.
  • The government will hold briefings with major allies to ensure that Europeia will be prepared for future disruptions and will be on the same page as its allies.
Vote Kazaman/Comfed on August 18th
  • The aim of the platform was to explain the goals for the new term and to give a glimpse of what Kazaman thinks about the state of NationStates.
  • There have been changes in the leadership style of Kazaman from his last term as president.
  • The goals of the platform are ambitious but feasible and if they are to be elected they will follow them through.
Vice Presidential introduction
  • The Vice President needs to be an assistant on the ground that will work with the ministries and take off some of the weight that is put on the President’s shoulders.

  • There will be a revamp of the newcomer guides with focus on pathways to involvement to ensure that new citizens know how to rise in Europeia.
Culture and Gameside Engagement
  • In essence, the idea is to lower the barrier to entry into Europeia to be practically as low as possible, so new citizens can remain in the region for a long time.
  • The ministries of Culture and of Gameside will merge under one minister.
  • There will be less focus on festivals and traditional culture activities, however there will be more low-effort events such as the Europeian Hunger Games
  • The combined ministry will be able to engage more effectively with the staffers to get things that can be resolved by the combined staff done.
  • The new united staff will be essentially a messenger of the Europeian government to the RMB with the reverse also applying.
  • The gameside Weekly Newsletter will be continued in the next term.
  • To strengthen the various roleplays that are happening in the RMB, the ministry will provide a map of the region.
Attorney General

  • There will be an increase in the presence of Europeian authors on Injuction resolutions, with them authoring and campaigning for them.
  • More Europeian nominees will be proposed to the Heroes of Valhalla project.
  • More WA staffers will be involved in the process of writing HoV resolutions.
