Drewave Subsiding

Well, this first piece of news is truly devastating; the Drew-induced influx of nations has entered into a terminal decline, with those 'Drewites' or 'Disciples of Drew' not finding a home in any region quickly ceasing to exist. Many regions that had their population boosted as a result of this huge influx of nations may expect sudden drops in their population numbers as a result, with only those possessing robust naturalisation and integration systems and policies expected to brave this drop.

Europeia currently stands at 1715 nations, with Aex enjoying 493 endorsements.

On the (Sensitive) Subject of Executive Modernisation

The discussion thread on executive modernisation inside the Senate has reached 14 pages as of 20 May 2020. With most, if not all, Senators now in favour of reinstating the pre-executive split system of governance, there remains to be discussed the overall structure of the executive, with the principal aim of reducing the workload of the chief executive as much as possible. With the lively debate continuing, there remains to be seen which suggestions will the Senate choose to adopt and present to the final arbiter in Europeia, the People.

Europeia is once again faced with two resignations, with Olde Delaware and Rotasu both resigning from the Senate. This surprising turn of events has sparked significant debate as the resignations come amidst extensive debate on executive modernisation in the Senate. With the by-election to fill the two vacant seats called, it remains to be seen how this event will affect the final incarnation of executive modernisation.
