TL;DR: Sparknotes On McEntire's Platform

TL;DR: Sparknotes On McEntire's Platform
Throughout the upcoming election, EBC will be doing a sparknotes series, providing summary sheets of the major candidates platforms. This is the final platform to be reviewed.

"I ain't reading all that I'm happy for you though or sorry that happened"

Please note: This is a subjective summary of a platform with a focus on distilling out key points. By only reading the summary, you might miss key arguments in favor of a proposed policy or other context. We encourage you to also read McEntire's full platform.

The Vision
  • Europeia has made two huge shifts over the past months: Joining the Aegis Accords and becoming a Frontier
  • The identity shifts require us to reorder our foreign and domestic affairs. Here are the principles that will guide a McEntire administration:
    1. Fully embrace being a frontier region and being a defender region
    2. Need to convert our population strength into World Assembly Strength
    3. Foreign policy will rest on a three-legged stool: (1) Increasing strength of Aegis partnership; (2) Retaining historic Independent ties; (3) Expanding possibilities as a Frontier
  • Let's honor the foundations our region was build on and move forward
Navy
  • ERN has seen impressive performance, but we need to make this sustainable
  • Want to gather data on the current roster
  • Need to focus on the skills of sailors (who knows how to lead ops, find targets, use scripts etc.)
  • Explore more casual participation of the militia to get non sailors involved
Gameside
  • This Ministry has done impressive work, but now need to do more work to determine its role. McEntire wants it to support the Regional Security Council and engage the gameside region
  • McEntire wants the department to support boosting the Delegate endorsement count (education campaign) and clean up gameplay resources
  • Want to run targeted telegram campaigns. What does this mean? Seeing non-WA nations chat on the RMB, shoot them a telegram to join the WA
  • Work together with the ERN to leverage WAs for missions without causing attrition of our Delegate endorsements
  • Keep using the content calendar to keep conversation elevated on the RMB
Recruitment and Welcoming
  • Recruitment and Welcome has done impressive work with the Frontier transition and deployment of new recruitment tools, but welcoming keeps being a pain point for us a region.
  • We need to standardize and track welcoming just like recruitment
  • We need to learn from our friends like 10k Islands and The League. What knowledge can they give us?
  • Need to design new recruitment contests like the Daily Dose
Radio
  • This Ministry has had many solid terms in a row, but we need to get more people involved in editing and producing shows. Can't just rely on one member or two.
  • The Ministry role of "Tech Host" will be created and elevated. We will also updated training materials
  • Reward more experienced Tech Hosts with the title of "Audio Engineer" to encourage upward mobility
  • Use Media capacity to promote ourselves inter-regionallly
Communications
  • Comms is often very focused on just keeping the content flowing, but we need to aspire for high quality, consistent output
  • "This Week in Europeia" would be a new feature to include gameplay and off-site news
  • McEntire would be a regular contributor to media
  • Partnerships with private media (which is doing well!) will be key
Culture
  • Culture this term has focused on festivals, in a McEntire Administration things would be much more low-key
  • Will do a do-over of Media Day next month — time to recognize excellent work
  • Will host a Frontier Fest with fellow Frontier regions (might not happen during McEntire's term, but will set the groundwork)
Foreign Affairs
  • Will focus on three-legged stool — can't just rely on a few executive leaders, need to involve more of our tenured establishment
  • WE ARE DEFENDERS!
  • Strengthen our relationship with the Modern Gameplay Compact, keep marginalizing the Brotherhood of Malice (BoM)
  • Priority will be with our new friends within Aegis
World Assembly Affairs
  • Need to maximize Delegate endorsements, project influence, and create greater WA influence within the region
  • IFVs need to get back up and running
  • Voting recommendations posted gameside is key. Our Delegate vote only represents 50% of our power in the World Assembly
Message from McEntire
  • As a region, we are spoiled by choice. But our talented Cabinet will move Europeia forward
  • The last several Presidents have set the foundation, but it's time to refine their initiatives. Refreshing the Europeian Future Commission will be something a President McEntire really focuses on.
  • As Vice President, UPC will also take a strong role with the Europeian Future Commission
  • Agenda is simple: Europeia should be a leader in global affairs, a force in defenderdom, and a fun community
  • McEntire loves a good fight
Message from UPC
  • After a two year hiatus, happy to be a part of this campaign
  • While UPC disagrees with McEntire often, they both balance each other out well
  • Will focus much of energy building infrastructure with the PTC and RSC
  • Will have an open DM policy, doesn't want to be invisible
