With all due respect, are you serious? While I'm not going to get into a debate about ideological things from RL, you do realise that the vast majority of the region's activity is spurred by the fact that there is a vibrant regional government, and that dismantling that would not only cause great chaos, but it would also make most members leave and find a new region. I am for small government in RL, but I think the bigger the better is true for NS.
