Random Weekly Roleplay - A Day Late and A Kilo Short

Hezekon

Right Hono(u)rable Minister of Music
"There will be no more weekly roleplay!" the man shouts into the theatre. "The deputy has failed his duty." The halls echoes with his triumphant blasts.

"Alas and alack, there are no more roleplays ever!" another player says, stepping onto the scene. "This is madness!"

"Oh boy," cried another, peeling off her facepaint. "Now what will we do?"

Silence. The audience, which is not there, says nothing. A grisly silence for a tragedian.

(I am very sorry for being late with this. Many apologies to y'all.)

From stage right, a tiny mongoose First Minister steps into the theater, tears in his eyes. “No more roleplays? But ... I love roleplays.” His bottom lip quivers and he wipes a tear that escaped off of his cheek.

No one quite seems how to handle a distraught First Minister. A few offer condolences. One misreads the moment and tries to tell a joke about a banjo, a kazoo, and flying elephant. The mongoose cries harder and curls up in a corner of the theater.

“What do we do?” A few people asked. But no one knew ... no. One. Knew.

Deep in outer space, on a huge 8000k viewing screen, a strange, alien spaceship observes the tragedy unfolding in an insignificant theatre on a miserable blue little planet called earth. After hearing the few people ask "what do we do?", the spaceship transforms to cloaking mode and engages warp drive, their target: a not so insignificant little theatre whose role in the future of the survival of mankind is immense, and therefore the roleplay must be saved? But how? How? Only the crew of the spaceship know!

While the aliens rocketed away toward the Theatre Of Infinity, the mongoose First Minister stopped crying ... but only because he fell asleep. A kind-hearted citizen put a blanket over him. “We have to do something soon,” another one said. In a forgotten corner, an invisible walrus ate some peanuts (he’s not really involved in this tale, but we thought you should know he was there).
