Organisations Act Amendment (2020)
An Act to better define the official charged with management of News Organizations, and correct small syntax errors.

Short Title
ST01.
This Act may be cited as the Organisations Act Amendment (2020)

Amendment
A01.
NO 03. of the Organisations Act (2017) is amended as follows:

NO 03. In order to receive the legal benefits of a News Organisation it must be registered with the President or their designee.

A02. NO 05. of the Organisations Act (2017) is amended as follows:

NO 05. A News Organisation may be deregistered, by the President or their designee, if it has not been active within the previous 70 days.

AO3. NO 06. of the Organisations Act (2017) is amended as follows:

NO 06. A News Organisation may only be permanently deregistered by Order of the High Court. To be permanently deregistered the News Organisation must have blatantly and repeatedly acted in a way contrary to the purpose of a News Organisation or have been used to aid and abet an illegal act.
