Election Day is Coming!
With about a week until the people of Europeia cast their ballots another pair of members enter the fray. Lethen-HEM for President has been the only choice other than "Abstain" for the last week or so. With polls showing them with a 8 point lead or so over any other party or organization. However, Vice President Danoboy and Former President Pineapleboy have joined the race under an independant ticket. Last race the strong Centralist Party Juggernaut almost faltered as the Senator nearly approached the current President. However, even though polls indicated Lethen was losing points every time a new poll was cast he was saved by the bell and got a very close win over Senator Danoboy. However, the elections now have new rules meaning there is a very low chance of any votes being redirected away from either of the front runners to minor canidates. In the November General Election there was one vote for Gladius and NasalivesII each. It those votes where cast for Danoboy it would have been a whole different race. With a week to go, will Lethen and HEM be able to build up momentum? Or will it be too late to be saved by the bell on Lethen's third election campaign?
Population and Nationstates
HEM has for a long time been stressing over the importance of recruitment. However, as Nationstates prepares to drop below the 70,000 nation mark many people are horrified by what they see. Just 4 days ago the nation count was steady at 72,000 for the last few months after dropping from 75,000. That means literally almost 1,000 nations died in one day. Is it the end of NS? Or will the game make a comeback. Players are not optimistic and even HEM who until a few days ago was saying "The Game is still very much alive". A conference where Europeia has had minimal participation about the game is happening and many people are going as far as eliminating founders or declaring wars against the feeders.
