[Inside Government] Domestic Executive Midterm Approval Poll

On the FA front, I think it's good that OD is keen for Culture to cross over with FA. Our culture and community is a great FA tool and we should be taking opportunities to showcase it to an interregional audience.

My only concern has been that we make sure our FA specialists are in the loop so we can make sure we're not causing problems by accident. FA can be a nuanced balancing act at times. One partner can get offended that another was invited to something and they weren't, controversies can be brewing behind the scenes that are yet to break, other regions can be planning conflicting events that aren't public knowledge yet, etc. I've spoken to both OD and Ist about this several times and I'm happy that we're in a good place where FA can focus on managing our interregional relationships and Culture can focus on great events, with both supplementing the other.
Am I safe in assuming Peeps will be involved in any Culture events going forward?
Peeps is certainly a resource available to Culture if they want to bring in foreign partners to an event. He's already on Culture's staff so is a convenient go between. Kura, Dax, and and I are also all available to discuss substantive matters of scheduling and what regions to invite. The heart of Peeps' role is engaging foreign citizens so that once we've decided to invite them, more of them show up, and those that do have a good time.

If I might borrow a phrase, I think the executive is "strong but not unassailable." :p

Overall people appear satisfied, however, I wonder if people might look at the executive more critically after this poll. Certainly, I wasn't aware of any of the concerns some commenters have raised about Culture and the AG. It's definitely made me think.

I know I've had a rough shot at it in this term as AG, but I feel that I've been doing well besides the two slip-ups. A lot of my advising is behind the scenes, and I hope that I can get another shot at the position to show I've learned from this first term. I honestly believe if I serve another term it'll be flawless.

FYI, Peeps is currently involved in the planning of EuroPride

Just out of curiosity, EuroPride is our LGBTQ festival right? I would assume that some queer people are involved in the planning of it? lol

Kuramia is in the planning as well :p
I would say there's two distinct parts of the planning which is the actual event and then the foreign coordination part if it's an interregional festival. I would hope that she's involved in the latter at very least given she's CoFA, but I also hope she's involved in the event planning (etc) internal part of it since she is part of the queer community! I'm just saying I think it'd be funny if the people who were largely in charge of the planning for a gay festival weren't queer!

I agree with Aex here. We have great representation in the region as a whole. I've only been involved on scheduling the FA aspects, so I don't know exactly who has been spoken to about content, but the Culture team should definitely reach out to queer members of our community to the extent they haven't already.
