Some people have been citing HEM's waning influence, however if the Unanimous Consent Act was a reading of how much influence he has left, we still have a while to wait. While HEM's bill did become law around 8:00 PM EST today it became that by that after three readings in the Senate, a close 4-3-0 vote and barely missing a presidential veto after rounds of questions between the President and HEM. Some private citizens against the bill cried fowl (bird watches you see) however in this battle at least, HEM came out on top.
