Mental Health Awareness Month
Following through on a campaign promise, First Minister Lloenflys made an executive order (LL19-01) to recognize May as Mental Health Awareness Month in Europeia. He has expressed his support of the “Break the Stigma” campaign sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Throughout the month of May there will be additional content and programming with the goal of increasing awareness of mental illness and support of mental health issues.

Justices Confirmed by Senate
Senator and former First Minister Rand was elected for the 1st chair of Justice. Rand is an active legislator with a knowledge of Europeian law from his four years of playing the game. The seat passed 2-1-1. Deputy Minister in World Assembly Affairs, Senator and Junior Minister in Justice, Prim, was elected to serve as the 2nd chair of Justice. Nominated by Kuramia, Prim won the seat in a 3-1-0 vote. Rear-Admiral of the Europeian Republican Navy and Chief Justice, OnderKelkia, wasunanimously chosen to serve another term. Nominated by First Minister Lloenflys, OnderKelkia was met with no opposition from the senate members. Associate Justice Vlaska wasunanimously chosen to serve another term as a Justice of the High Court. Serving 4th chair, Vlaska has demonstrated his interest in the region.

Opening Addresses
The ministries of Interior, Culture, and Communications had their opening addresses this week. In Minister of Interior Whitmark’s opening address he highlighted the recruitment effort and announced the deputy ministers of interior: Jabbax, Astrellan, and Caleban. Minister of Culture shufordbrian’s address promised new life to the tradition of weekend games with help from cuddlebuns as the Deputy of Weekend Games. Shufordbrian also announced Netz as Deputy of Cultural Outreach and Hezekon as Deputy of Roleplay. In Minister of Communication Hezekon's opening address he said his main concern was getting the EBC back up and running again with Astrellan as Senior Deputy Director of the EBC and Rand as Deputy of the Upvote Squad.

Attorney General Nomination
Associate Justice Darcness was nominated for the position of Attorney General. The vote passed in the Senate but will stay open for the remaining senator to vote.

New Blood in the Senate
With 24 votes, Astrellan won a seat in the Senate. Fresh-faced Astrellan's platform included his support of Senator Prim's Alternative Sentencing amendment. He also emphasized the importance of communication in all ministries. Finally, he addressed the issues that came from the Executive split and stated,"I have no doubt that more issues will be raised in the future and the Senate needs to be well equipped to deal with these."

"A Cool Chair"
Cool Spring was elected as CA Chair; his platform's main concerns are education and outreach. He plans to use the Calvin Coolidge Center for Education and Outreach to teach newcomers about the Europeian government. Cool Spring also plans to refurbish the Leadership forum and keep the Mockingbird well updated.
