New Minister of Communications, Maybe?
On March 2, Minister of Communications Xecrio resigned from his role as minister. Despite having led a largely successful ministry in the past one and a half terms, a drop in activity from writers, and an uptake in real life responsibilities, was cited as the reason for Xecrio stepping down from the post.

First Minister Sopo quickly nominated former communications minister Istillian to the role on March 3, as a replacement for Xecrio. Istillian has informally been confirmed and, barring a change in an already cast vote, will be formally confirmed no later than noon Central Time on Saturday, March 7.

Executive Bloat
On March 4, Vice Chancellor Deepest House published an opinion piece through the Europeian Broadcasting Corporation. Having observed the Senate's delay to recognise Istillian's nomination, and seeming disinterest from senators in the confirmation process of executive offices, Deepest House queried the viability of our region being politically competitive for the long term, as long as our region has extensive cabinet posts that are filled with candidates that are only willing, and potentially not qualified for the roles that they hold.

Modernising our Executive
Following avid conversation on the opinion piece written by Deepest House, discussion regarding the current executive offices and the potential to modernise our current government moved to Europeia's Grand Hall, exposing our citizenry's ideas on what could be a better structured executive branch in our region. The debate and discussion continues.

Europeia Becomes a Teenager
On March 6, Minister of Culture Olde Delaware excitedly opened Euro's 13th Birthday MiniFest, in which citizens can celebrate Europeia's thirteenth birthday by joining in on spam games, sharing of past experiences in the region, and voting on what could become Europeia's favourite regional food, regional anthem, regional animal, etc.

Emergency in the Capital
On March 6, Senator Drecq announced an Executive Emergency in Arnhelm City and declared a city wide emergency to appoint an interim leader to move legislation and administer an election for a new Mayor. Mayor GraVandius, to quote, "your formerly sick and now severely overwhelmed leader", was quick to respond and appoint Drecq as Election Administrator, and appointed TheNationofthePeople as deputy with full authority to move bills forward to votes. With Drecq begrudgingly responding, "Its a little less fun when its not an illegal coup." Arnhelm City has seen a flurry of activity this week, and standing for Mayor opened on March 6, with elections to be held on March 7.

World Assembly Affairs Work
On March 5, the Councilor of World Assembly Affairs Izzy published, on behalf of Istillian, an Information for Voters (IFV) assessment regarding the General Assembly proposal Oceanic Hazardous Waste Disposal Ban. Work from the Council of World Assembly Affairs has seen a steady uptick in activity in the past week, with solid leadership and regular communication coming out to World Assembly (WA) staff from Izzy, this has given members plenty of opportunities to enhance their WA expertise in the council.

Legislative Assessment
On March 6, TheNationofthePeople provided a legislative assessment of the People's Assent Referendum Amendment (2020) that was passed by the senate on March 5. For further legislative assessments, visit the Ministry of Justice, or consider becoming a law clerk in the ministry and learning more about the valuable work done by our legal experts.

Europeian Space Agency
On March 2, The Council of Aviontech proposed that our region have a Europeian Space agency, declaring that it would be, "in the name of scientific advancement and societal expansion, establish an agency dedicated to furthering our capacity for space exploration." The agency has tentatively been named the Europeian Space Exploration Commission (ESEC). Many of our citizens have queried who we would launch into space first - this has yet to be decided. Work in Arnhelm city commenced shortly after, with the Europeian Space Program Act (2020) proposed on March 6 by Drecq.
