First Minister Elections
Standing for first minister opened earlier this week, with 3 citizens throwing their hats into the ring. Xecrio/GraVandius, Maowi/Sopo, and Coookiespaigentland/Cuddles are all vying for the position of first and second minister. Second Minister Dax did put her name into the running with Bowzin as her running mate, but pulled out due to time constraints. Coookiespaigentland, Maowi, and Xecrio have released their platforms.

Election Radio Show
Kicking off the start of election season, First Minister Calvin Coolidge, Chief of State HEM, and Minister of Radio Cuddles got together on the radio to discuss each candidate for first minister and their chance of winning, plus general talk about what citizens would want in a first minister candidate.

ENN Poll
The Europeian News Network released an opinion poll based on the first minister candidates. A lot has changed since then, and the running is no longer as it was. Dax and Sopo, who was then running as first minister with Maowi, tied with 40.9 percent of the vote, while Xecrio fell far behind with only 18.2 percent of respondents saying that they'd give him the vote if an election were called immediately.

ERI Poll
The Europeian Research Institute (ERI) conducted a poll regarding First Minister Calvin Coolidge's decision to make an executive order. The executive order has since been vetoed by the Senate. 57.5 percent of respondents stated that they disapproved of the use of Calvin Coolidge's executive order. According to the poll analysis, the reason for this high disapproval is that citizens are taking a stronger view of the executive.

EBC Article
Following on from the ERI Poll, the Europeian Broadcasting Corporation released a breaking news article, courtesy of Maowi. The article discusses the roots of the executive order, the trial run, and how the first minister's frustration at the lack of work from the Senate caused the first minister to make the executive order. The article then goes on to mention the public backlash after the order was enforced and how after 3 days the Senate vetoed the executive order.

Articles From The Panda's Pen
The Panda's Pen released an article talking about honoured citizenships. The article discusses how a citizen can become an honoured citizen and also lists the entire Europeian honoured citizens list. In the list he refers to who each honoured citizen is and why they have become an honoured citizen.

Work In The Ministry of Culture
Europeian citizens have been taking part in the Ministry of Culture's latest cultural extravaganza: Hunger Games. The events of the games are randomly generated and at least one citizen will be out of the game after each night.
The Ministry of Culture also launched the second "Keep It On The Forum Day," and the first one in nine years. Citizens spent the day away from discord and spent their time on the forums. Citizens could amuse themselves with a variety of spam games, short stories, and memes. Sopo won the most points with 433, whilst Drecq arrives in last place with an embarrassing -2199 points.

Getting To Know Your Executive
Minister of Radio Cuddles, Foreign Affairs Councillor Pichtonia, World Assembly Affairs Councillor Aexnidaral, Minister of Communications Xecrio, Minister of Culture Dax, and External Engagement Councillor Sopo all took part in a special broadcast entitled "Getting to Know Your Executive." Each minister or councillor took their time to discuss how they do their jobs and answer questions from citizens regarding their job.

Update From the Grand Admiral
The Grand Admiral of the Europeian Royal Navy Bowzin released an update, in which he promoted Istillian, Izzy, and GraVandius to higher rankings. The update also discusses new training guides and a brief overview of recent Europeian Republican Navy operations across NationStates.

These keep getting bigger! Not exclusively so, but in this case also a good indicator for our regional activity.

Good work, Nate.
