Success in Boston
The Europeian Republican Navy (ERN) and its allies recently concluded a successful deployment to Boston, where the invading delegate peaked at 126 endorsements. This is a display of the incredible power of Europeia and its allies.
Broadcasts
On May 11, Sopo interviewed Lloenflys and HEM regarding the executive reform, the early days of Europeia, and its relationship with the Land of Kings and Emperors, respectively. Additionally, on May 18 the Ministry of Radio ran a panel answering real-life political questions, which can be found here.
Arnhelm Symbolism Contest Continues
On top of the new Arnhelm official colors from last week, golden yellow, white, and navy blue, Arnhelm is on the verge of adopting a new flag and a new coat of arms, which need to be passed by the city council. Arnhelm players are still finding difficulty generating mottos which will be accepted.
The Ombudsman: New News Service from Verteger
On May 15, Verteger released the first issue of their nascent news service, “The Ombudsman”. In this paper, Verteger artfully dissects “organizational design, teams research, systems theory research, and occupational health issues” based on their own profession as an Industrial-Organizational psychologist. The first article, found here, educates readers on team development and dynamics.
Government Updates
On May 16, the Foreign Affairs Ministry announced that Pierce, Maowi, Monkey, Lloenflys, and McEntire are new deputies who will assist in finding new embassies. They will also review the treaty format and update the treaties. On May 15, the chief of state gave an update regarding the mission in Boston, their reaction to a telegram campaign from Enadia, and a new announcement from Kuramia.
EBC Articles
McEntire and Istillian released Europeian Broadcasting Corporation articles this week. McEntire published an opinion article on how the executive structure should be created, which can be found here. Istillian reflected on how Europeia is now and how it was one year ago, when they joined, found here.
North East Somerset Reconfirmed as DEIA
On May 14, the Director of the Europeian Intelligence Agency, North East Somerset (NES), was reconfirmed by unanimous vote. North East Somerset said they would welcome new personnel to the agency due to the vast number of new information in the game. The confirmation was otherwise devoid of comment other than support for NES.
Citizen Spotlight for Giovanniland
On May 16, the Second Minister, Hezekon, ran a spotlight on Giovanniland, who originally joined Europeia as an ambassador and joined the region as a reaction to getting to know others in the region. They enjoy forum spam games and the Weekend Games, and have served as a deputy minister of cultural outreach.
Ovation of Darcness and Order of Republica Award
The ovation of Darcness, a celebration of their achievements for the region, concluded on May 11. The event celebrated Darcness' work as an administrator and had 6 speeches on their time in the community. First Minister Istillian awarded them the Order of Republica award because "[their] accomplishments, service, and commitment to Europeia has been nothing short of outstanding."
