There’s a new organization in town! The NAtionStates Proprietary of Artwork in Quantum (NASPAQ), Europeia’s new organization dedicated to trading cards and card farming, is launching today. All Europeian citizens can take part in the fun. Minister UPC and Deputy Minister Forilian are organizing and managing the program alongside President Calvin Coolidge and Vice President Istillian. Former Minister of Culture Rotasu has also contributed to this project.

Card farming is when a nation tries to collect certain NationStates trading cards. These cards can include very valuable cards, cards for nations they know, or just random cards they like. A nation has a 20% chance of getting a pack of five trading cards for free by answering issues so many card farmers create puppet nations, nations separate from their main nation for the sole purpose of collecting cards and transferring them to their main nation.

Cards are bought and sold using a currency called “bank.” The seller will post an “ask” and, if a buyer posts a bid that is greater than or equal to the ask, an auction will begin. The highest bidder at the end of the auction will receive the card for the price they bid. If there are no offers to sell a card, a buyer can bid beforehand and wait for a seller.

NASPAQ works off the Europeian Regional Card Bank. They plan to host giveaways, run pull events, and participate in collaborative farming. The Europeian Regional Card Bank aims to help Europeian card farmers get the cards they want. There will be resources and programs for both new and experienced players so all are encouraged to join. Members of NASPAQ can donate cards and bank in exchange for prizes. Among the potential prizes are special or rare cards, forum badges, the ability to change someone’s Discord avatar, and more!

The Trading Card Anti-Laundering System (TCALS) will be used for pull events. When there is an auction where the bid is much higher than the junk value, TCALS makes it more likely for that card to be given in a pack. A pack is a group of five cards that a nation receives for answering an issue. A pull event is when a player repeatedly bids high on a card to trigger TCALS and others open packs to try to get the card. Pull events are one example of the things NASPAQ will do.

When asked about his inspiration for the program, Minister UPC said, “Europeia is home to a number of card collectors, but until now, we have generally been doing it separately. The creation of NASPAQ will serve as a place for Euro's card players to play collaboratively. Many other regions have created their own card programs, and now it is our turn!”

All Europeian citizens may join the program by replying to the NASPAQ Application Thread. Questions can go to Minister UPC or Deputy Minister Forilian. There is a discord channel for trading cards and a NASPAQ subforum can be found here. As of right now, the role of "NSCardTrader" is available and open on the discord server. Today marks the beginning of NASPAQ, Europeia’s first ever trading card program.
