Under President Trinnien last term, Europeians rejoiced when our region briefly surpassed 10,000 Islands to become the largest user-created region in NationStates. For years, Europeia occupied the number two spot behind 10KI with only brief interruptions, but had never before surpassed them.

Today, Europeia sits nearly 500 nations behind 10KI, likely after a concerted effort on their part to avoid being challenged again. Not only that, but Europeia was also quietly surpassed for the second place spot:

The Communist Bloc, which previously overtook Europeia to become the second-largest UCR last year, has done so again, and they are expanding their lead. As it stands, TCB is over 100 nations ahead of us. Currently occupying the fourth place spot is Equinox with 917 nations, well behind Europeia.

The region will need to work hard in the coming weeks to regain lost ground.

On a side note, I do want to bring up that we are approaching our natural "bust" cycle in the recruitment bubble.



We have a few weeks or month or so of growth, followed by a few weeks to a month or and a half of a "bust"; and it appears to be cyclical. While there's nothing to be raising the alarms over yet, if we can get more people contributing towards recruitment and spending just five to fifteen minutes a day sending out TG's, we'll be able to mitigate the bust and start our positive growth again.
