It was audited by two other neutral parties, including Editor-in-Chief @HEM. However, I will abstain from commentary and instead simply present the results.

Circuit Court looking awful abolish-able rn... 👀
If that's the way people want to go, cool. I would like to maybe have a broader discussion about how we utilize our judiciary in the region.

I think Hyanygo's campaign platform brought up some good points. We have a strong incentive (and I'm guilty of this thinking in the past) to just fix problems directly in the Senate and not worry at all about using the judicial process. But, if we want our region to have an active judiciary, we need to have more patience for legal conflicts, ambiguities, and allow these issues to work through the Court system, I think.

So, I'm not wholly opposed to the abolishment of the Circuit Court - but I would like to maybe use this opportunity to see how we can improve utilization of the courts, and not just tick a box of "abolish the circuit court, congrats" and continue on with the same slowness we've been seeing.

I would just ask:
  1. What other incentive we can offer to complete legal education? Getting a Justice or AG slot used to be pretty tricky, especially with no term limits.
  2. How can we allow broad participation in the legal system? I don't want it to be an elite club like before.
  3. Can we avoid the High Court appealing to itself as before?

This is funny considering how excited we all get to have a court case too!

I think the main takeaway here is so much for Project 2007.

Personally, I think it's contestable that an active judiciary is a good thing.

I gotta admit I am a bit confused that abolishment of circuit court and justice term limit removal have roughly equal support
I do support the abolishment but I think in case we do abolish it, we should keep term limits.
