Elections in Whitmark!
CONTEXT:

4 Years Ago the country faced its first elections since the collapse of the two party system. The Peoples Party and the Socialist Party dominated Whitmarks politics for decades. The irruption of new parties like the Green Party(center-green politics-anti corruption), Christian Democratic(right wing), Party For Freedom(far right) during the last election was proof that the two party system was over. Since the election of Van Oranje the country has been receiving thousands of migrants from North Africa and that has aroused fear and xenophobia, also causing the Party for Freedom, which four years ago won 13% in the elections, to start leading the polls towards the run off. The current president, Joan Van Der Oranje has had to deal with a succession crisis in the south of the country, followed by an economic crisis, in addition to the migration, his favoribility is at 26%. Van Oranje got almost the exact number of votes as 4 years, but nearly 8% of the vote less, proof that he doesn't have an easy path for re-election. Although Van Oranje doesn't an easy path, De Wever is not a popular figure in Whitmark, with statements with some statements taking votes away in the latest weeks of the campaign. A new party for this election has emerged called Whitmark Insoumise(Far Left-Wing), founded by Marianne Thieme tired of the politics of the Socialist Party.

According to the latest data from Real Clear Politics:
Van Oranje: 27.1%( 25.4%)
De Wever: 21.1% (21.4)
Monkhorst: 18.8% (17.5)
Thieme: 18.1% (17.4)
Klave: 13.5% (16.8)
Kant: 1.4% (1.6)

The last election the Socialist Party endorsed the Green Party candidate Van der Oranje, according to this results 25.4%+16.8%=42.2%. Meantime the Peoples Party got endorsed by the Freedom Party 4 years ago, will this time the Peoples Party endorse the Freedom Party? That will put De Wever at 21.4+17.5%+plus the Christian Democrats 1.6%=40.4%. Van Oranje's 42.2% to De Wever's 40.4% is a dead-heat race. STAY TUNED FOR THE RUN OFF!

During the run off the country never saw a most heated campaign. De Wever called Van Oranje insulting names and called on her supporters to riot, but the president refused to respond. While Van Oranje campaign added the endorsements of Thieme(Whitmark Insoumise) and Klave(Socialist Party) in order to defeat De Wever, De Wever campaign only got the endorsement of the Christian Democrats. The People's Party refused to endorse either candidate in the run off. Although most of its supporters went to De Wever campaign. Van Oranje defeated De Wever by 10.6%. Most of the analysts and the media attributed Van Oranje's victory to Whitmark Insoumise endorsement. It should be highlighted that in the first round Whitmark Insoumise got 17.4%. The centrist president has to pivot now to the left in order to fulfill its promises to its allies. The president got his strength from Noord Holland, Zud Holland, Brussels and Luxembourg, while most of the rural areas went to De Wever.
