E-News Network - "Election Tossup"
Written by HEM Tiberius

With the polls set to open in under 24 hours, the election map has been thrown into disarray by the late withdraw from incumbent President Common-Sense Politics. The newcoming ticket to the fray, Skizzy Grey and PhDre seem to have garnered some natural support, but little time is left to gauge their reaction among all voters.

Before the withdraw, polling had Common-Sense Politics holding a firm 2-1 lead over the McEntire/Rachel ticket when all were pressed to give an answer, with most previously undecided voters giving that voter to McEntire. "CSP had a very strong base," Professor Krugman says, "Such a strong base, that it would be hard for them to en masse defect to the rival candidate."

However, much is up for grabs. One of the most interesting results of the polling package was if Interior Minister Asperta was thrown into the mix. 50% of voters stated that he would become their first choice, with a quarter saying he would become a second choice amongst the original field. It's a bit late for the Minister to take advantage of that this season, but many opportunities are clearly open for the king of recruitment, as a vast majority of voters (80%) credited him solely with the population bump in Europeia.

As it sits, much is uncertain. Either side could potentially win in a landslide, and last minute campaigning will prove to be vital to either ticket.
