Ervald Elected President by Landslide Margin
Outgoing Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervald defeated outgoing Vice President Sincluda in Europeia's Presidential election conducted this past Friday. With 78% of the vote, Ervald's margin of victory is the largest in a contested race since June 2022, in which Writinglegend received nearly 81% of the vote. Ervald will be joined by outgoing Grand Admiral Kuramia as his Vice President along with the following citizens serving in his Cabinet:
- Grand Admiral - Sincluda
- Interior (formerly Gameside) - m88youngling (Lunar Remnants)
- Communications - United Vietussia (UV)
- World Assembly - amalteia
- Foreign Affairs - Grea Kriopia

- Attorney General - Calvin Coolidge
In a by-election held last Monday, Gem was elected to the Senate seat vacated by Common-Sense Politics (CSP) in a three-way race, winning with the support of 58% of the electorate. Because the election involved more than two candidates, voters could cast up to two votes. Gem narrowly defeated newcomer Renegade, who received the support of 52% of the electorate. Prov additionally received the approval of 11% of the electorate. Gem takes over at roughly the midway point of the current Senate term and will serve until the next General Election in mid-June.
General Assembly Vote Leads to Debate Over WA Policy
Europeia’s recent vote in favor of repealing the “Preventing Employment Discrimination” resolution—just weeks after supporting its passage—has sparked significant debate about the region’s approach to General Assembly (GA) affairs. Controversy particularly arose over the resolution's partial intent to provoke a procedural ruling from the GA Secretariat. Historically, Europeia supported GA action aligned with broad moral principles; however, the rise of the Sovereign Seven bloc has drawn this alignment into question, raising questions about when and how Europeia should defer to allied regions. The vote has spawned a larger discussion about whether Europeia should continue asserting its values in the GA or shift toward a more deferential stance to maintain alliances, including a bill to prevent the overriding of the popular vote among citizens by the Executive or WA Delegate.
