Two New GCRs Introduced
NationStates' administrators have decided to introduce two new 'Sinker' Game-Created Regions to the game: consisting of the The Plains of Perdition (PoP) and The Outback (TO). Such GCR creations have not occurred for over a decade. A coalition led by The League (TL) has claimed PoP, while a coalition led by The West Pacific (TWP) has claimed TO. Military forces of the Europeian Republican Navy assisted in both claims, which ended up successful in establishing a secure delegacy of over 100 World Assembly Endorsements each at the time of reporting. In term of gameside leaders, Quebecshire from TL as Rhaza is the Delegate of PoP, while Teralyon from TWP as Terannical is the Delegate of TO.
While the futures of both regions remain so far unclear in the political sense, PoP is dominated by Defenders, while TO is formed by mostly independents but with the inclusion of Lone Wolves United, which is raider, among others. Raider Unity has remained passive in the recent developments, not seeking to expand their communities by claim or invasion.
The Rhaza-led government of PoP as well as the Teralyon-led government of TO have so far been recognised by The North Pacific, the Augustin Alliance, Lazarus, The Region That Has No Big Banks, and the New Pacific Order (The Pacific), among others. NPO Announces Imperial Succession
Empress Xoriet of the New Pacific Order of The Pacific has announced she will soon be succeeded by Marinas Island. In the announcement, Xoriet states that "The transition will be staggered across December and January, and I will officially step down from the seat in February 2025. This has been the official plan since before anyone in NS knew this was happening, and my delegacy was always intended to be a layover [...] where we revived activity, built new internal structure, and kickstarted a new era."
Senate Sees Marginal Activity
Calvin Coolidge's proposed abolishing of the Circuit Court returned to the consideration of the Senate this term, but finds a sleepy response among Senators thus far. The last post in the thread being from last Tuesday, the conversation so far has failed to make much progress, as the Senate finds marginal activity in reviewing the Elections Act as well as the proposal to change constitutional amendment criteria. A proposal by Rand seeks to improve the value of court rulings, while a proposal by Calvin seeks to restore Executive Orders, making for five total topics the Senate is currently handling.
World Assembly
The proposal currently up for vote in the General Assembly is titled "Repeal "Money Markets Funds Protocol"." The proposal aims to repeal the target which regulates the use of financial instruments in the form of "money market funds" which the repeal proposal argues is better regulated at the local and national level rather than broadly in the World Assembly. The Ministry of World Assembly Affairs has not yet recommended a vote for the proposal.
In the Security Council, the proposal "Liberate Empires Forever United" is at vote. The Ministry of World Assembly Affairs has recommended a vote against the proposal, stating that "The proposal was authored by the same raiders who took part in the occupation of EFU, this was nothing but a futile attempt at slowing down the queue in the hopes of delaying our liberation proposal, this horrible attempt not only failed to do so but now continues to act as a hurdle before our [Injunction] proposal."
