TNP Invades URA-Member with Quorum Raid
A quorum raid executed by the North Pacific Army of The North Pacific has delbumped The Kodiak Republic (member of the United Regions Alliance) in an operation on October 26. The raid, which targeted Delegacies approving the WA proposal "Obesity Awareness", was executed by TNP in order to thwart the author, who stands accused (second paragraph) of being "a Regional Officer of a homophobic and transphobic region which tolerates and engages in such offensive speech." TNP's statement did not specify which region of author Saint Asperes this accusation pertained to. In a publicly issued apology, Delegate Picairn clarified that hitting The Kodiak Republic was an NPA officer-borne error, saying: "what transpired was not only completely unacceptable, it was beneath the caliber of work that our army strives to achieve in its operations. There were multiple opportunities and resources available for the officer [leading the raid], and every single one went unutilized or disregarded. A complete root-to-branch overhaul of the NPA’s operations and training is underway, and the officer responsible for the raid has been dismissed, because no matter who the affected region is, errors like this should never happen when the NPA engages."
Shortly after TNP's statement, representative of The Kodiak Republic Rykkland posted an official response, stating that "the government of the Kodiak Republic wants to thank the leadership of the North Pacific for accepting responsibility for the actions taken against our nation. The only justice our government seeks is the total and unreserved apology of the government of the North Pacific for the violation of our sovereign territory and we are satisfied this request has been fulfilled."
Curiously, Rykkland then made another post in the same thread airing grievances with TNP's handling of the fallout which they specified were "just my opinions as a citizen and not as a leader of the Republic." Regardless, as far as official statements are concerned, the situation seems to have been successfully de-escalated.
Carcassonne Announces New Leadership
The region of Carcassonne has announced a new regional leader by name of Pauline Bonaparte. The now-Empress is succeeding former Emperor Ysengrim who, in a streak of inactivity, could no longer fill the position. Regional leaders in Carcassonne are chosen by a meritocratic Senate. The Empress opened her tenure with an inaugural address, saying: "I would very much like to thank you all for your kind words and expressions of confidence upon my election as Empress. I look forward to serving the region, even as, like so many of you, I feel sadness about the still-recent loss of Ysengrim."
Ervald Takes on Outreach; Kazaman To Remain as DEIA
The Europeian Senate has conducted two Minister confirmation hearings, both of which passed. The Ministry of Outreach faced the resignation of former Minister Istillian, after which President upc decided to nominate southwestern germany aka Ervald to the position. Presenting the nomination to the Senate, the President stated that "[Ervald] is no stranger to the Executive, having served in various Cabinet positions, as Delegate, and even briefly as President, but has not done so in quite some time," and "as Minister of Outreach, he will continue to encourage discussions in the Asperta User Group as Isty did. Furthermore, Ervald is a very capable organizer, and in the short time since we began discussing this position, he has brought himself up to speed on other facets of Isty's former portfolio, notably the A/B testing of our recruitment templates that he began two weeks ago." The Senate unanimously confirmed Ervald earlier today.
The other nomination was a renomination concerning Director of the Europeian Intelligence Agency Kazamaniceuropeia. After some light questioning, Kazaman was reconfirmed to the position.
ERN and SPSF Unite for Training
Grand Admiral Andy aka Andusre has released a report announcing the completion of joint training with the military of The South Pacific, the South Pacific Special Forces. The Europeian Republican Navy involved our ally in Liberation and Chasing training, practicing the most common Defender skills and routines. The trainings saw the participation of eight different sailors from the ERN as well as five SPSF soldiers. Andusre mentions in the report that "Despite encountering a small amount of difficulty with organising these training operations, ERN sailors performed valiantly and showed considerable progress in developing their skills. Now is a time for ERN sailors to be constantly honing and refining their skills as we continue to wage war against Raider Unity & their partners in LWU, and I am proud of our efforts to maintain our skill set in these training operations."
World Assembly
The proposal currently up for vote in the General Assembly is titled "Obesity Awareness." The Ministry of World Assembly Affairs has recommended a vote against the proposal, stating: "While fighting for a noble cause, this proposal misses a few key points. For example, the term “ nutritious food” is left plain, opening up a possibility for loopholes around what makes a food “nutritious”. Second, the first clause of the proposal hinges on the assumption that schools in member nations do not already have physical education programs, which is highly unlikely. Clause 1d also behaves similarly - it is highly unlikely that foods do not already have nutritional labels."
In the Security Council, a proposal titled "Condemn Jar Wattinree" is up for vote. The MoWAA recommends a vote for the proposal, saying: "The proposal sums up the shameful actions of Jar Wattinree well. Although a little vague in some spots, the core arguments of the proposal are always maintained. The author is not shy with fields either, highlighting many important areas within Jar Wattinree’s society that lack even basic rights and freedoms."

NOTE OF CORRECTION: The initial version of this article stated that The Kodiak Republic was an ally of The North Pacific, but this is false. They have relations established through a 'memorandum of understanding' that does not amount to an alliance. Apologies for the error!
