Calm Before the Storm
Written By Oliver Babbish
Senior ENN Political Analyst

The last few day have brought an unusual calm in Europeia. Even though a new revised Constitution has been proposed and elections are still ongoing, it seems both campaigns have decided that they have gotten to the point where they can sit back, and just wait as the results come in.

However, as the candidates entrench themselves and prepare for the onslaught of votes that may bring record turnout to the region many Europeians are undecided of their own Presidential choice.

A poll made up of 11 National Conservatives, 1 Liberal Democrat and 18 Independents have yielded the following results.

Strongly Falconias: 12
Leaning Falconias: 4
Undecided: 6
Leaning Common-Sense Politics: 1
Strongly Common-Sense Politics: 7

As of this hour, Common-Sense Politics has 8 votes compared to a commanding 16 votes for Falconias.

There are many reasons for this abrupt change as explained by Professor Lion Forest, "The last poll was taken at the height of attacks and criticisms against Falconias. It had a natural bias against him because of the negatives associated with his agenda. As that effect worse off, his voters started to wade back."

It didn't help that Common Sense Politics decided that the last week of campaigning as a good time to become incredibly busy. And although people usually get understanding for real life concerns, it caused some serious erosion in his support base.

What about the undecideds?

"There are alot of reasons people haven't made up their mind yet," explains Professor Forest, "Concerns about Falconias' trustworthiness, concerns over his sheer agenda, or a plethora of other reasons. But if CSP can make an appeal to these undecideds and his voting base turns out better than Falconias' it's very possible that he can make a strong pitch to win this election despite all our prognostications."

So, once again, it comes down to the voters....who 17 of said they would consider re-electing President Lexus sometime in the future.

10 said that they might consider, while 3 flatly said they would not consider re-electing the veteran President.

Meanwhile, Surpreme Chancellor HEM has an approval rating of 73% and and Chief Justice Cordova I has an approval rating of 77%

Polling also indicates that the lackluster debate had very little effect in the minds of voters, but pulled people toward Falconias slightly more than CSP.

Now that's interesting...but the real polling will be even better. I can't wait to see those results coming in!
