Europeia will be hosting the second-ever EurOlympics with the Opening Ceremony and first events scheduled to take place on Friday. The games were due to take place from the 7 to 13 of September as announced by Minister of Culture United Vietussia, however, the games were slightly delayed by four days. Announcing the delay, President Sopo stated "we'd like to get as much foreign participation as possible" and apologised for any confusion the delay may have caused. Despite this, Culture Minister United Vietussia still believes that the upcoming games will be a success, telling the EBC: "this extra time gave us the opportunity to ensure that our foreign neighbors were as aware of the event as possible. The extra time we've had also allowed us to nail down any final details that might have been left hanging."

The first EurOlympics were held in 2016 under then-President HEM and then-Minister of Culture Pichtonia. Those first games had no foreign involvement and were just a domestic festival. The games played were mostly spam based, although most were unique and different from the spam games regularly seen on the forums. Each was based on a real-world Olympic sport such as synchronised swimming, football, and archery, among others. The games also provided a discussion area for the 2016 Olympic games, a discussion about the merits of the Olympic games as a whole and who should host the 2024 Olympic Games. The 2016 EurOlympics concluded with a medal ceremony for all those who were involved and those who won some of the games, as well as a closing ceremony. Polling on the event after its conclusion found that the games were popular, although low turnout did dog the event.

This year's games promise to be far larger than its predecessor, with foreign regions invited to take part and win medals for their region, and it will also involve a wide variety of games and activities throughout the week. Traditional weekend games such as Secret Hitler and skribbl.io will be played, along with spam games from the previous games such as a marathon, football, and high jump, as well as more unique events such as a Pokemon tournament, radio games, and a short story competition. The widely popular Duck Hunt from the last Region of the Week will also be a part of the games. The EurOlympics have also made an appearance in Interior this week, with the winner of the Survivor recruitment competition promised a "special role" in the EurOlympics.

The EurOlympics will likely be the biggest test this administration has faced so far, and all eyes will be focused on the games and how successful they turn out to be.
