UPC and Sanjurika elected

Current World Assembly Delegate and Minister of Foreign Affairs UPC has been elected President, with 61.9% of the vote, following three consecutive terms of the JayDee presidency. Running with UPC was Sanjurika, in a repeat of their abandoned ticket in January’s elections.
The duo ran on a platform building on the previous administration’s successes in areas like Culture and FA, emphasizing smaller-scale commitments alongside keynote priorities like Frontier Day and monthly regional updates, while shoring up deficiencies in areas like World Assembly Affairs with a focus on external projects like the WAA Symposium and proposal discussions. Opposite to them were Minister of Culture Ellenburg and Minister of Outreach Sincluda, running on a platform built on top of relatively ambitious event-based initiatives across the board, including but not limited to Frontier Fest, Recruitment Night Events, and a WA Education series. The campaigning period was relatively quiet in comparison to the energy and controversy of the previous election, but some points of contention arose surrounding the feasibility of the WAA goals in the Ellenburg/Sincluda platform and Ministry roll calls in the UPC/Sanjurika platform.
The later stages of the election were largely defined by a few last-minute endorsements ahead of the voting period, with Cordova, Turbiatop, nlaumeyer, Filet Minion, and Rand endorsing Ellenburg and Sincluda, while Vor, Pichtonia, and Maowi endorsed UPC and Sanjurika. UPC and Sanjurika maintained a steady lead throughout the day after overcoming early opposition, and are now shaping up to tackle the term with a slate of faces both old and new in their cabinet. After three terms of policy being crafted under a single President, UPC and Sanjurika now face the challenge of defining their own, unique path forward for Europeia.
