Who Are Today's Power Players?
Analyzing poll results to determine Europeia's heaviest hitters

The EBC recently ran a poll to try and find out who the most influential citizens in Europeia are, and who’s on track to hold that power in the future. Respondents were asked in a free-response question who they saw as the most powerful players, the fastest rising players, and why. After collecting these responses, the EBC put together a tier list of Europeia’s current power players.

A Tier:
JayDee (A+)
As president–and one coming off his third won election in a row–it would be pretty hard to deny JayDee the top spot. A charismatic leader at the helm of a successful executive, JayDee easily tops our list.

upc (A-)
The other resident of A Tier is upc, earning the spot thanks to his broad experience and active involvement. Respondents noted upc’s active involvement, persuasiveness, and experience both foreign and domestic as factors contributing to his influence.

B Tier:
Vor (B+)
Sitting atop B Tier is Vice President Vor. Not only is he the President’s right-hand man, he also has made a name for himself with his involvement across the executive, often bringing important knowledge and competency. His important position representing the ERN, even not as Grand Admiral, makes him chiefly important to the region.

Kazaman (B)
Speaking of knowledge, next on the list is Kazaman. Kazaman’s role as one of the most influential foreign policy-setters has not gone unnoticed, and respondents recognized just how important he is to Europeia’s foreign direction.

Rand (B)
Rand takes this spot not just because of his position as Minister of Foreign Affairs, but also for his work in leading the Constitutional Convention. His role as chair gives him important authority over the reshaping of the region, as does his overall experience and persuasiveness.

Cordova I (B-)
Rounding out B Tier is recently selected Speaker Cordova I. Cord’s position as leader of the legislative branch is not to be taken lightly, especially looking at his high satisfaction numbers and impressive performance this general election. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him reprise his role of Speaker next term, and continue to see his influence rise from there.

There was one more mention for up-and-comers than pure power players, but with far less concentration–the most any one person got was 7, compared to JayDee’s 15. This is most likely due to the broad interpretation of “up-and-comer” as well as a wider range of citizens.

A Tier:
Pudimlland (A)
Coming out on top is the newly appointed Minister of Gameside Pudimlland, no doubt earning the spot thanks to his diverse track record of ministry work not only in gameside, but in culture and some recruitment as well. Respondents stated Pudimlland as doing great work in mainly gameside affairs, with a clear interest in moving up in the executive.

Grea Kriopia (A)
Also in A Tier is none other than Minister of Radio Grea Kriopia, propelled by her activity and experience abroad. GK’s energetic contributions in Radio, Culture, Outreach, Communications, and more clearly make her one of the most rapidly rising stars in the region. It should be no surprise that both A Tier Up-And-Comers are first-term cabinet members leaving good impressions.

B Tier:
Airmadecat (B)
Air’s energetic presence in many areas of the executive and dedicated recruitment earned them several mentions as an up-and-coming player. Air was also mentioned as a highly visible community presence, giving them more notability likely just by being more social and friendly. Respondents noted Air’s growing leadership qualities and growing understanding of the region as a sign of bigger things to come for them.

Charoskania (B)
Being appointed Chief of Naval Operations no doubt contributed to Charo’s increased notability in this poll as respondents appreciated the responsibility entrusted to Charo in that role. To many respondents, Charo has shown a clear desire to move up the ladder and likely will continue to do so as they gain experience in key ministries.

C Tier:
Westinor (C)
West headed up the C tier for the up-and-coming section with recognition of her unstoppable writing/Comms talent and general reliability in anything entrusted to her. Respondents noted her contributions to the region in a relatively short period will offer her opportunities to move higher with ease if desired.

Cordova I (C)
Making a surprise appearance in C tier is… Senate Speaker Cordova I? Despite being speaker, respondents noted that Cordova was still a newly returning player, being “old, but new again.” However, Cordova’s past experience in the politics of Europeia and growing understanding of the current situation may quickly move them up into the ranks of the other power players. Cordova’s presence in both lists especially speaks to the broad interpretation of “Up-And-Comer”.

Sincluda (C)
Another surprising entry so low in this list is former Vice President and current Minister of Outreach Sincluda. Since his return to the region late last year, Sin has made a splash in Outreach and World Assembly Affairs, as well as winning a seat in last month’s Senate By-Election. There’s little doubt that whatever Sin sets his sights on next in Euro, he will achieve with stunning success.

Fillet minion (C)
Finally, Fillet Minion earned nods in the up-and-coming list for his willingness to help in multiple ministries and notable activity in the WA Ministry “pumping out IFVs” as respondents said. Holding two positions as a Deputy Minister and currently engaged in a Senate campaign, Fillet demonstrates an ambition for higher things that he’s likely to succeed in if his high activity and solid contributions continue.
